Presentation
SOURIAU is a recognized worldwide market leader
in the design and manufacture of connectors and
interconnect systems for harsh environments.
The relationship between the company and the
motorsport industry goes back many years.
SOURIAUs main production facility is located in
Le Mans and since 1990 we supply connectors to
local racing teams for the world famous 24 Hours
Endurance Racing.
The Motorsport activity is a market where more
and more electronics are installed and where space
and weight constraints become more critical. 8STA
and 8TA Series are designed to be smaller and
lighter with high reliability features to protect the
driver and are used across the world of motorsport
on 2 and 4 wheels.
8STA & 8TA circular connectors are derived from
international military specications MIL-DTL-38999
and JN1003, and are designed to withstand high
levels of shock and vibration in harsh environments.

Let your need take the lead! Due to the constant
innovative needs from the Motorsport market, SOURIAU
is dedicated to produce derived products on demand.
One of the primary objectives with this product family, is
to push the boundaries in terms of miniaturization and
weight reduction, as demonstrated by the introduction
of the world smallest, and now most popular, motorsport
connector with removable contacts: 8STA shell size 02.
Continuing on with this theme, several new products can
be found in this catalogue, including receptacles with
integrated clinch nuts eliminating the need for nut plates,
connector designed for steering boss system for column
using, single hole xing solution for space and weight
saving and 8STA High Density with pin contacts normally
associated with much larger connectors.
Let's have a look on the lastest SOURIAU innovations:
